Dream Life Designer | Television Guest Expert | Producer | Visibility Strategist

“Your past shouldn’t limit you — and your voice deserves to be seen and heard.”
— Starley Murray
Recognized for transforming personal experience into a mission of helping established leaders strengthen their credibility, confidence, and authentic visibility.
From Invisibility to Impact: Building a Life and Career Around Being Seen
For Starley Murray, visibility is about far more than being noticed.
It is about ensuring that a person’s credibility, experience, and message are seen at the level they deserve.
Today, Murray works with established authors, speakers, experts, and creative leaders to strengthen their positioning, prepare for media opportunities, and confidently communicate the value of what they bring to the world.
Her expertise has been shaped by years of experience spanning television, production, publicity, fashion, beauty, brand development, live events, partnerships, and personal development.
Yet the foundation of her work comes from an unlikely place.
Long before television appearances, Fashion Week experiences, publicity productions, or red carpets, Murray knew what it felt like to be invisible.
From Cleaning Carpets to Working Red Carpets
Growing up poor in a wealthy neighborhood, Murray often felt different from those around her. At home, staying quiet and unnoticed could feel safer than being seen.
Those early experiences created a striking contrast with the career she would eventually build.
Murray went from cleaning carpets to working red carpets, gradually transforming fear and invisibility into confidence, professional visibility, and a career devoted to helping others step forward.
Rather than allowing her beginnings to dictate her future, she used those experiences to shape a different relationship with visibility—one based on courage, authenticity, and purpose.
Today, that transformation informs the way she works with clients who may already possess impressive experience and expertise but have not yet learned how to communicate it confidently to a larger audience.

When Art Becomes a Lifeline
Art and creativity have also played a deeply personal role in Murray’s story.
At one of the most difficult points in her journey, art became more than creative expression—it became a lifeline.
That connection to creativity remains an important part of how she approaches both life and business today.
Whether producing an event, developing a brand experience, working with a client, creating a product, or preparing someone to step in front of a camera, Murray brings together strategy and creativity.
Her story illustrates something often overlooked in professional success: creativity is not always separate from transformation. Sometimes it becomes the very tool that allows a person to imagine a different future.
Building Credibility Through Television and Media
Murray’s television career gave her firsthand experience with what it means to become visible to a larger audience.
After appearing regularly as a go-to expert on three competing local television programs for six consecutive years, her career expanded into nationally syndicated television.
The transition brought increased exposure, station travel, larger audiences, and new opportunities—as well as the demands that come with communicating effectively in front of the camera.
Those years helped Murray develop an understanding of media from both sides of the lens.
As an on-air expert, she learned the importance of clarity, confidence, preparation, and audience trust.
As a producer and strategist, she learned how positioning, presentation, storytelling, and credibility work together behind the scenes.
Those lessons continue to influence how she prepares clients for television, podcasts, stages, interviews, and other public-facing opportunities.

Three New York Moments That Shaped a Business
September 2007 marked an important convergence in Murray’s professional life.
Within that period, three significant milestones came together: her first nationally syndicated television appearance, the launch of her first private-label beauty product, and a milestone connected to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Each experience contributed something different to the career she was building.
Television opened the visibility door.
It demonstrated how the right platform could expand the reach of an established message and introduced Murray to the opportunities—and responsibilities—that accompany greater exposure.
Product development opened the creative brand door.
Launching her own product revealed an interest in creating tangible extensions of an idea or message. That experience would later influence her work with branded tools, information products, client gifts, merchandise, sponsorships, and partnerships.
Fashion Week opened the experiential door.
The combination of styling, storytelling, production, hospitality, and human connection demonstrated how a carefully designed experience could make people feel part of something larger.
Years later, those seemingly separate experiences continue to intersect in Murray’s work.
Helping Visibility Catch Up to Credibility
One principle now sits at the center of Murray’s professional mission:
Helping visibility catch up to credibility.
In a marketplace filled with rapid content, emerging technology, and an endless stream of new voices, Murray believes experienced professionals should not become invisible simply because they are not constantly promoting themselves.
Many of the people she works with have already spent years earning their expertise.
They are authors, speakers, leaders, coaches, entrepreneurs, and mission-driven professionals with real experience and meaningful messages.
Murray’s role is not to manufacture credibility.
It is to help people communicate the credibility they have already earned.
Through individual coaching, media preparation, publicity strategy, production, and immersive experiences, she helps clients clarify their message, strengthen their positioning, and prepare to confidently enter more visible spaces.
Her mission reflects that philosophy:
“Elevating creative leaders’ credibility through authentic visibility.”
Turning Visibility Strategy Into Real-World Experience
Murray recently brought many of these elements together through a LIVE Credibility & Visibility publicity production in San Antonio, Texas.
Rather than designing a traditional networking event or surface-level publicity opportunity, the experience was created for established authors, speakers, leaders, and experts ready to stretch beyond familiar environments.
Participants received private pre-production coaching before arriving, helping them clarify their message, strengthen media positioning, and prepare for camera, stage, podcast, and public-facing opportunities.
The live experience then gave participants opportunities to put that preparation into practice through television and studio experiences, podcast and stage practice, publicity photography, video interviews, media-related activities, coaching, and professional networking.
For Murray, the objective was not simply exposure.
It was development.
Participants were encouraged to move beyond their comfort zone and into their “stretch zone”—practicing the skills required to confidently represent their expertise when meaningful opportunities arise.
Post-production continues that process through the development of media assets, visibility tools, and materials participants can use beyond the event itself.
The experience reflects the intersection of Murray’s career: coaching, television, production, publicity, creativity, branding, and human transformation.
Designing a Life Beyond the Spotlight
Murray describes herself as a Dream Life Designer, a title that reflects the broader purpose behind her work.
Visibility may be one of the tools she uses, but visibility itself is not the final destination.
Her work encourages high-performing and creative leaders to consider what greater confidence, credibility, and opportunity could make possible in the rest of their lives.
That perspective is rooted in her own transformation.
The woman who once learned that being invisible could feel safer eventually built a career in which being seen became an asset.
The woman who once cleaned carpets eventually found herself working red carpets.
And the artist who found strength through creativity eventually learned how to combine creativity, communication, production, and strategy to help other people step into opportunities they once may not have imagined for themselves.
A Story of Visibility, Courage and Choice
Starley Murray’s career contains television appearances, production credits, Fashion Week experiences, product development, media work, publicity, coaching, and high-profile events.
But those accomplishments tell only part of the story.
The deeper story is one of transformation.
It is the story of learning that a difficult beginning does not have to dictate the life that follows.
It is about moving from hiding to showing up, from hesitation to action, and from believing invisibility provides safety to recognizing that authentic visibility can create opportunity and impact.
Today, Murray uses those lessons to help others make that transition for themselves.
Her journey offers a powerful reminder:
Your past may explain where you began. It does not have to determine where you go next.
