Late Morning & Afternoon — Adventure and Exploration
After our morning session, we head out to experience the beauty of North Idaho’s lakes, forests, and mountain trails.

• swimming or relaxing lakeside
• outdoor painting surrounded by nature
• discovering fresh ingredients in the garden
Guests are always welcome to continue painting, explore on their own, or join the group adventure.

During the retreat, guests are invited to participate in a fun Nature Discovery Challenge.
Using photography and observation tips shared earlier, you’ll explore the landscape while capturing special moments in nature.

• mountain landscapes
It’s a playful way to deepen your connection with nature while enjoying a little friendly adventure.

No art experience is required — just curiosity and creativity.

One of the highlights of the adventure is time spent enjoying the beauty of Lake Pend Oreille, one of the most breathtaking lakes in the Pacific Northwest.
Depending on the day’s conditions and the group’s interests, the lake experience may include:

As the sun sets, we gather around a bonfire beneath the North Idaho stars.

Food during the retreat is designed to be simple, fresh, and relaxed, allowing us to focus on the experience and time together.

Each morning begins with coffee, tea, fresh fruit, and light continental breakfast items such as muffins, pastries, yogurt, or simple snacks.
Guests are also welcome to enjoy breakfast on their own before joining the day’s activities.

Do I need art experience to participate?
Not at all. The creative sessions are designed for all skill levels. Whether you’ve painted before or are simply curious to try something new, the goal is to enjoy the creative process and be inspired by the beauty of nature.
Where will guests stay?
Guests will book their own lodging in the surrounding North Idaho area between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint. This allows you to choose accommodations that fit your style and budget—from cozy cabins to lakeside resorts or local hotels.
We’ll provide suggestions for nearby lodging options after registration. (Link Below)

What should I bring?

A camera or smartphone is encouraged for the Nature Discovery Challenge, and any personal art supplies you enjoy using are welcome.
What fitness level is required?
Most activities are relaxed and accessible. Some hiking and outdoor exploration will be included, but participation is always flexible. Guests can choose to join the activities or enjoy personal time exploring the area.
Can I attend if I’m coming alone?
Absolutely. Many guests attend solo and find it’s a wonderful way to meet like-minded people who share an appreciation for nature, creativity, and adventure.
What happens if the weather changes?
Because this is a nature-based experience, activities may adjust slightly depending on weather conditions. This allows us to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience for everyone.
Is space limited?
Yes. The experience is intentionally kept small to create a more personal and meaningful environment for everyone attending.

Extend Your Adventure – Optional 4th Day
Stay one more day and deepen the experience with our North Idaho Discovery & Transformation Day on July 12, 2026.
This relaxed and inspiring day offers time for reflection, conversation, personal growth, and connection in the beautiful landscapes of North Idaho.
Lunch and dinner are included.
Guests who register for the 3-day retreat by April 1 receive this day complimentary.

Cancellation & Transfer Policy
Because this experience involves advance planning, activity reservations, and food preparation, the following cancellation policy applies.
Registrations are transferable but not refundable.
However, if you are unable to attend, your registration may be transferred to a future experience hosted by Unlocking Freedom in Nature under the following guidelines:
• 45 days or more before the event:
Your registration may be transferred to a future retreat or experience for the full value paid.
• 10–44 days before the event:
50% of the registration fee may be transferred toward a future experience.
• Less than 10 days before the event:
Registrations are non-transferable due to activity reservations, food purchases, and event preparations already in place.
If you cannot attend, you may transfer your spot to another guest with advance notice and approval.
Host Cancellation Policy
If the event must be cancelled by the host due to weather conditions, safety concerns, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control, participants will receive a full credit toward a future Unlocking Freedom in Nature experience.
This credit may be applied to a future adventure or retreat within 12 months of the original event date.
In some situations, a full refund may be issued at the host’s discretion.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own lodging and transportation unless otherwise specified.
